When we moved to the little Village of Pelham, just outside NYC, this Good Humor ice cream truck would speed by our house so fast, with music tinkling manically, that my girls couldn't catch up with it. I began leaving the money right by the door so they'd have a fighting chance but unless some other kids on a block nearby managed to halt it, we'd end up buying ice cream at the grocery store nearby. Things do move faster in NY!
