This painting is part of a series I have done on Carnivals . Some of the pantings in the series were done on location and some back in studio. Especially the scenes from the evening were done in the studio. I walked around the fair to study some interesting vantage points, interplay of light and shadows and movement of the crowd. The intention here was to capture the energy of the fair which brings back my fond childhood memories.
