Playing around with texture on this one. I applied multiple layers of pumice gel to archival foam core so achieve an interesting directional tooth, then applied pastels in my typical method. The scene is from along the shore of the Fox River in NE Illinois. Painting is sold framed in a 2.75" black wood frame with a decorative gold fillet.
