As posted previously, in lieu of lining up children, I now line up (or do series of) paintings. In my next 6 postings I will highlight each of my six children in the form of still-life. This first entry is a classic blue and white platter with lemons and kumquats (which my first child loves!). She was/is a classic first child; high achieving, responsible, etc. She put us through our paces and taught us a LOT about a lot of things because we were total rookies! Fortunately she came 'from the factory' with some pre-installed super helpful features: such as being an adept nurser right off the bat. In short, she made my husband and I feel like we might be kinda 'good' at this parenting thing....duh, stay tuned.
