"It Takes a Village" 8' x 10' on museum board. Thank you thank you all of you glorious people who prayed, lit candles, and sent love and light to my family yesterday! After 8 hours of surgery yesterday, to harvest part of his liver, my son-in-law looks ridiculously good today, AND a physical therapist got him up to walk down the hall to visit his friend (who received a portion of Jay's liver in a 15 hour surgery yesterday.) I am once again convinced that EVERYTHING in life takes a village...yes the doctors and nurses are important, but so are the people who cleaned and prepped the OR. And God bless physical therapists who get patients "up and moving" so that they recover physical mobility and don't get pneumonia! Today, I am awash in gratitude for ALL of the people who come together EVERY DAY to make 'good things happen'.Wouldn't that be a great job description? "What do you do?"
