See how this still-life pops with a dark background? Ever notice how beautiful candles are in the dark? We light candles for dinner every night, but if we eat while it's still light, that candlelight is not as visible. When it's dark, when it's winter, or when we are trudging through a really 'dark night of the soul, those candles REALLY make a difference. So now, at this point in time, it is more important than ever to be metaphorically "lighting candles"...tell that tired momma at the grocery store that she's doing a good job, pay for the coffee of the stranger behind you, check on people, notice who is NOT at a regular get together, reach out reach out reach out...BE the light that shines in the darkness.
