My yoga teacher told us about taking her two god daughters school shopping yesterday...and how one of the little girls tried on some shoes, went over to a mirror, and looked at herself and then stood up straighter. It was if she felt more regal, more worthy in those shoes. And then our yoga teacher pointed out to us that we could decide, at any moment, new shoes or not, if we deserved to stand up a little taller, feel our worthiness to be in that yoga studio...or whatever space we found ourselves in. I love the reminder that we carry our worth inside. And still, I won't deny that new shoes (especially pink shoes with bows!!) CAN put a little pep in any girl's step!
