Media: oil on brown paper
Size: 38.5x15 in
This week I'm going to focus on the wellness-hack of keeping lots of possibility in your life...in other words, staying loose, open, willing to see what happens next...rather than always planning and forcing. Therefore, I will be posting oil sketches, done on brown paper. When I use really pedestrian materials (such as brown paper from the big roll in my studio), I feel free and relaxed...not worried about the outcome, just trying to express what I see. I think that some of my best work is this loose stuff...I'm not too worried about archival issues either, because I've framed drawings like this on brown paper that are 40 years oldand absolutely fine. Peoplke always react to them, and I think that they are reacting to the spirit of relaxation in the doing, not just the image!
