"The Solace of Friendship" I urge you (and myself) to find your tribe...because this life is NOT do-able without YOUR people around you. Yesterday I checked in with a mental health professional and she asked about my appetite, sleeping, ability to concentrate...and her final question was about the quality of my social life: "Did I have people?" "Was I getting together with them regularly?" Fortunately, I was able to report that, I have in fact 'found my tribe' and we check in with each other frequently and in multiple ways daily. So I have been reflecting on this last bit, and thinking that the great thing about finding your people is that, that for better or worse we are all in a big cosmic baseball game and it's a team sport. You NEVER know what this life is going to throw at you...the pitches keep coming at you (sometimes at 100 mph!) and you have absolutely NO idea if you're gonna be able to hit that ball...or if you will take a swing and miss...or if you will hit the ball beautifully but then it gets caught and you are OUT. The thing that you CAN count on is: suiting up, showing up, and being the best contributing member of the team...because you have the amazing good fortune to be ON a team. my wish for you today, is that you are in a tribe, that you find your people, that you remember to lean on each other every day.
