This little seascape has me thinking a lot about the paradox that is water. On the one hand it is life giving and necessary, and on the other hand (as is happening in Calif right now) it can cause death and destruction. I read today that there is so much flooding and devastation, AND the drought dry reservoirs are rapidly filling up and providing much needed water to the area. One of my favorite authors, Isak Dinesen (aka Karen Blixen) who wrote the beautiful book, "Out of Africa" said this about water, "The cure for anything is salt water---sweat, tears, or the sea".
