This is my last ocean painting in a series of 8. I just learned a new word, and it describes one of my friends. The word is 'thalassophile': a lover of the sea, someone who loves the ocean. One of my friends moved to San Diego 5 years ago and discovered that she is a thalossophile...she began to surf and just loves being in the ocean...she feels fully alive there.
