We must be guardians of that angel."-Jean Cocteau We creative folk (and I think that we are ALL creative folks) must protect our time and energy, and spend our time and energy wisely. I think it is significant that the word "spend" is used...the same word we use when we give away our money. But we CAN get more money...whereas we can't get time and energy back. I think that I was personifying these parasols as I painted them: they represent us, protecting ourselves from things that don't serve us. We are beautiful angels (messengers) who need to be protected so we can convey "OUR" unique message to the world. "We shelter an angel within us.
