The title of this painting is "Wonder, Delight, Beauty, Curiosity, Play". Because I am thinking a lot about the fact that when we are children we imagine, dream, paint, draw, build things...one of my friends even overheard her young grandson drawing and saying to himself, "Wow, you are a really good artist". Then...we grow up, stop playing, lose our curiosity and courage to try stuff, and wonder how to move forward. Somehow, something along the way just gets pressed out of us: maybe it's wonder, maybe it's creativity, maybe it's a little bit of joy...and maybe, these are the VERY things we need when our adult lives get really serious, or our adult life goes off the tracks. So I am going to be doing a series of Joy, Beauty, Wonder paintings. I hope you'll follow along and maybe even attempt some of your own. I wish us all, "Bon Courage"!
