The island of Hashima, off the coast of Japan, is an abandoned mining town(island). Once the home of almost 5,000 people it is now a desolute ruin, and tourist attraction. A perfectly erie place to remind us of how time changes things. It's also a bit spooky, especially in this Holloween season. I found this image of a couple of scarves and some bright red thing (a bowl or dish?) that were forgotten, and seemed to add to the mystery of this place.
