This white double amaryllis, aptly named "Snow Queen," is the star of this still life painting. But it also seems symbolic of the hope and good wishes we share with one another at the New Year. Painted in the pointillistic style, a few dabs at a time, it has been a project for many months, and now that it's finished, it represents the high hopes I share with all for a peaceful and prosperous New Year!
