If you are familiar with the Clint Eastwood movie Joe Kidd, you will remember when the character Luis Chama sarcastically says to the Judge "There was a fire". All of the land records were destroyed. This piece was started a few days after the devastating tornadoes that traveled 200 miles across Kentucky last month. The subject was unintentional, but obviously came out as I worked on the painting.
Update: There have been tornadoes again this week, so I thought I would re-post.
