A very late April freeze of several days killed all the buds and leaves of my two huge gardenia bushes. These bushes last year had hundreds of blooms. This year there was nothing. I am uncertain whether they will bloom next spring, although some leaves have come back. This painting was done from photographs I took of my previous years gardenias.
