I have a cat sanctuary full of feral and community cats trapped on the streets of my tiny town. All spayed/neutered, they have a safe and happy life. Everyday I have the pleasure of photographing them in special moments like this. Scottie is not yet socialized but he’s content with his many companions. I took the reference photo this morning and 3.5 hours later I have a finished painting with which I’m pleased. An alla prima painting is a challenge and today is a success story for this work.
