I had painted a plein air version of this during The Castine Plein Air Festival last summer. I was always curious if it would work in a vertical format so I gave it a try. The light was fleeting when I was working plein air so I was painting quickly so I tried to work quickly on this painting to achieve the same feeling. I will donate 50% of all of the slaes I make on the DPW site during the month of May to our local food shelter. Thank you for your support!!!
