This was painted on day 11 of the strada easel challenge. It was the day after the first devastating storm in Maine in one week. We had record high tides and very high winds and seas. There was so much devastation along the coast. I wanted to sit and paint the ocean in a familiar spot where I knew the damage wouldn't be as visible as in so many other places along the coast.
