This is what gets me through many winters. Sitting on this small stretch of beach each summer, along the shores of Lake Michigan on the Old Mission Peninsula. Each evening everything stops when the sun approaches the horizon. Dinner can wait, games pause, as we all head to the beach to celebrate the setting of the sun. And for a moment everything else fades as there is water, golden light, wind, lapping waves, and those I love all in the same place. Something to celebrate. This is what gets me through many winters.
