This little slice of lakeshore is my refuge. I first felt the timeless magic of this place over 35 years ago. As a newlywed, then young mother watching over little ones, and now refilling our nest when family comes together each summer, this place stands steady even as our lives change. As in everyone's life, there have been times of incandescent beauty and joy as well as times of deep anxiety and sadness. Through it all this place offered a space away in which to heal, appreciate and rest. When I am troubled, I like to sit on the beach to let the big sky and water soothe me. Like the winds that sweep away the storms, time and this place help restore my balance again and again. And with the new light comes a renewed sense of gratitude and joy.
