The colors in Autumn move from incandescent and warm to cooler and more muted. But I love both stages. The first makes me feel as if I'm walking in a stained glass window. The second makes me pay attention to detail, appreciating the juxtaposition of wheat tones against bursts of dark gem hues. Both make me aware of the passing of time, and the turning of the year toward another season. I love all seasons, but I think fall is my favorite. A time of endings, but also a preparation for the coming turning inward of winter. The colors in Autumn move from incandescent and warm to cooler and more muted. But I love both stages.
