The smell of boiling syrup, the tangy sweetness of golden goodness on buttery pancakes, maple syrup is one of the treasures of living in New England. We find ways to celebrate all seasons, including the time when mud abounds and ice still hides in the shady corners of the yard. This scene is from the fun of Maple Syrup Sunday, when crowds of people of all ages flock to farms and enjoy a community of hardy people appreciating nature and the hard work of those who feed us.
