The drive out along Old Mission Peninsula is a favorite of mine. The road starts out near the shore and then moves up to the center spine of the peninsula, offering glimpses of the Grand Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan over fields of vines and trees. It is a beautiful stretch of road, and every mile brings one close to the bounty of the summer harvest so present on this farm-rich peninsula.
