On the Old Mission Penisula, on land bought in the early 1900's by a group of rusticating friends, lies a strip of summer cabins built by local men and filled with furniture made by local artists using trees from the land. Lucky enough to have married into this legacy, I love walking down the simple mud lane and admiring the various styles of the cabins. They were built in different eras, as families grew and years passed. All share a sense of simplicity, beautiful lines and an attempt to blend with the locale.
