Before leaving for Maine, I painted from some reference photos to make sure that I was bringing all of the colors I need. The sea seems to change colors so drastically depending on the sky, wind, and temperature. At the moment, we are enjoying a bright, sunny day and the sea is a beautiful sparkling blue.
