In a recent trip to San Francisco we discovered an amazing place called Angel Island. It’s a beautiful state park and former army fort (Fort McDowell) in the middle of San Francisco Bay. You can walk up a hill and then hike around the island with gorgeous views of the sea, the scent of eucalyptus trees, and cool breezes from the water. After hiking for hours, you can even get a cold drink and a sandwich and sit gazing out into the bay. Ahhh, my kind of place!
