In keeping with my plan to paint favorite places, this is Angel Island, off the coast of San Francisco. I was fortunate enough to be out in SF for work a couple of years ago and took a ferry out to this beautiful island to hike for several hours. Once there, if you hike up to the island’s ridge, you can walk around the island with gorgeous views of the water almost no matter where you go. Luckily, there was no one else on the island except for a group of school children on a field trip. It was my idea of a perfect day; I was outside in the sun, with a cool breeze, and a view of the water. Can’t wait to go back!
