I loved painting this scene with the contrast between the warm grasses and bright wild flowers just above these cold, rough seas. I discovered that the fog isn’t actually gray but made up of many beautiful colors, especially where it thinned out and the blue sky could be seen. It was a lovely, cool day, and so perfect for walking on the beach.
