For some reason, I really enjoy painting hay bales. Maybe it’s some romantic notion of farm life or I’m drawn to the shapes and colors, or maybe even because it usually signals (hopefully), the end of warm, humid weather. Whatever the reason, this scene just seems peaceful and serene to me, something I always value in a landscape.
