Last summer, I stayed in a place on the Maine coast that had beautiful views of the ocean from the deck. I had painted every day and on the last day, was supposed to be packing up my art supplies. Instead, I painted one last impression of the view. It was actually obscured by shrubbery but with the magic of art, I whisked most of the bushes away to see the water.
