At first glance, coastal wetlands in early spring appear a boring brown or beige. It’s only after a closer look that you’re able to see all the beautiful colors of these marsh grasses. Wetlands provide such a helpful service to us all, sheltering wildlife and helping to buffer the effects of storms. These are truly precious areas worth protecting.
