The rocks rising out of the turquoise waters of the Pacific often look like family gatherings to me; there’s some adult size rocks and typically, a couple of smaller, baby rocks, all bunched together. Soon, I will be challenging myself to paint the rocky shores of the east coast, along Nova Scotia’s and Maine’s coasts, where the rocks are just as beautiful but are often in long finger-like formations, reaching into the sea.
