Last weekend I got the best birthday present because I got to celebrate my birthday with both my kids in the mountains. It was a wonderful time of catching up with what’s been going on in each other’s lives and enjoying the outdoors despite the gray skies. This is a painting of what it looked like hiking along the Ocoee River through trees alternately green and bare.
