I’m remembering a line from the young Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman, who said, “For there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it, If only we're brave enough to be it”. Moving forward, I hope to be that kind of light – to be kind, compassionate, and brave, to stand up for what is right, and to help those who are vulnerable or in need.
