In the Quarantine Doodles series (see first painting for longer description), I just start doodling with no plan and see what comes out. Maybe it's good, maybe it isn't. I've gotta get used to that. There are some recurring themes, there are often new images I haven't seen before. Maybe it works like an oracle into my subconscious? What do you see? Maybe the oracle works for you, too? This is the first of the pieces where the technique of putting down a thin layer of oil paint and rubbing out parts to create the image start to appear. Paint was removed with a paper towel, an unloaded brush, or fingers. Sometimes I'd put on more paint, take more out, and continued until the image starts to turn into something.
