For a few of my younger artist years, I lived in my friends' cabin on the Deschutes River. It's less than a mile from my present home-studio on the lake, and I go walking near there often. I hope this pastel painting captures the river atmosphere in late summer. I love light on water and may never cease to paint it. The video attached to this artwork is actually for a similar and larger painting entitled "Deschutes Melody." Enjoy!
