Size: 8x8 in
This winter-spring I'm painting the colors and warmth of late summer nearby scenes. This one is from the Skookumchuck Valley where my friends and family and I often pick wild blackberries and apples. The rosey haze of late summer sun casts a warmth over this scene that is welcoming - especially during the grey rainy and foggy days of winter. I'm enjoying rediscovering the immediacy and opacity of pastels this spring. I love rotating through the various painting media - for each medium's strenths reveal new ways to approach the other media (watercolor, oils, and pastels). This artwork will ship signed by the artist and unframed. This winter-spring I'm painting the colors and warmth of late summer nearby scenes.
