The Nelson's Ranch is beautiful through and through with mima mounds, old oak trees, beautiful barns, fields, horses, cattle, a vineyard, the Deschutes River, woodland, swamps and more. (With their permission) their ranch was part of my childhood playground. And before we had our own, we bought fresh milk from their one milk cow (they're a beef ranch). Their ranch is along the main road leading to my home-studio, so I frequently see beautiful moments, pull my VW to the side and take photos. Their grass really does have reddish plumes, but any grass in that light would be ablaze. I'm pleased with the painting, how the sun seems to be blindingly bright - and warm! Artwork is sold unframed and sealed with damar varnish (sealed 11/2/2020).
