of the paintings I did while in England over the Winter. The Isle of Thanet was an Island during Roman
times, and probably soon will be one again, with global warming. It is the northeast corner of the county of
Kent a few miles north of Dover. Pigments used in the painting are Imprimatura:
Rublev Italian Burnt Sienna; Drawing: W&N Cobalt Blue; Painting: W&N Cobalt
& Cerulean Blues, Venetian Red; Rublev Blue Ridge Yellow Ochre, Italian
Burnt Sienna, Lead Whites #1 & #2. For
