Media: Acrylic paint on hardboard panel with 3 coats of varnish. Painted around the edges with a hanger on back so it can be hung as is. Comes unframed. NOTE: the painting does not have the watermark on it.

This painting is inspired by the legend of "Old Bob the Sea Dog". Good Lord, this dog got around....all over the world! Everywhere he had a proper girlfriend who he would ring when his ship came to town. He would take her out for a sandwich and a sarsaparilla or an old fashioned taffy pull at the Grange Hall and have her home by 8:30 PM. The parents of all the girls approved of Old Bob because he was a proper, upright Christian. He mailed all the girls Christmas presents and was sure to include carmels and a whittled whale. He died childless but had girls all over the world pining for this honorable and proper sea dog.
