Elder Rosenblatt was a renowned leader in the Ozarks in the early 1800's. Very little's known about him personally, not even a photo. Things written about him were that he was 'pugnacious' and that he named his firstborn, "Spot'. He apparently snorted and farted loudly while speaking, and was fond of 'barking out orders'. "He licked himself with no apparent shame while in public", and it was said he could lick any man, as well. This sounded to me a lot more like a Pug than a human, thus my attempt to do a portrait that I hope honors him.
