Painted on location at Sawhill Ponds in Boulder, Colorado as part of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society plein air paint out held during the opening of the Best of America Small Works Show. This was an unseasonably, warm spring day at the Sawhill Ponds Park. It was a pleasure to paint while listening to the birds sing, the breezes blow, and the clouds rolling through. I had to go back a second setting to finish up as I had to wrap up quickly to avoid the rains moving in.
