I painted this en plein air at a beautiful farm in the Ozarks. It was a peaceful morning with a spring fed creek running beside me. It had been so hot and humid, as is typical in Missouri, however, that morning, there was a bit of a reprieve. The spring fed creek gave off a coolness and there was a gentle breeze--it was plein air perfection.
