My first plein air of spring! We're slowly getting a bit of color and flowers blooming...just in time for a freeze advisory. Such is the weather in MO. While out painting on a beautiful, cool, windy day, I was looking for contrast against the grayed colors of winter and was struck by the light on this old pine tree. It begged to be painted.
