Media: Oil on Linen Panel
Size: 20x24 in
This is a scene from a hot, summer day in coastal Florida. I like to sneak around in my Kayak, taking pictures and sketching compositions or colors. The birds are Ibis, one of my favorites. I love the way the breeze can ruffle their feathers. Hopefully, I caught that in this painting. This is an oil painting on a linen panel. It is priced unframed; the framed picture is just to show possibilities. However, at 20” x 24” the picture is a standard frame size so if a buyer wished to save a significant amount from the cost of a custom frame, they could buy a ready-made frame for it. I used the highest quality materials on this; Williamsburg, handmade oils – packed with pigments and no fillers - on a fine Belgian linen. I coat the panel with a protective barrier seal that will prevent it from degrading the cloth. A panel is superior to a stretched canvas because it will not stretch and shrink with changes in temperature & humidity. This work should last generations. Thank you for your interest in my art.
