In 2019 I picked up a paintbrush as a way to create art quietly after welcoming my third child. I've been an artist my whole life, primarily creating jewelry as a metalsmith. I fell in love with painting for the same reason I love creating with precious metal and gemstones, it feels like magic.

I believe everyone deserves to have original art in their homes. We need a human touch now more than ever. In a world of AI and big box store art, hanging a piece in our home made by an artist with heart and soul adds a layer of warmth and character that is unmatched. Creating small works gives everyone the opportunity to live with handmade art. Why let millionaires have all the fun?

When I'm not in my studio I'm with family and friends, in an antique shop, lending a hand in school art class, always trying to learn something new and encourage other artists.
