Thanks for taking the time to visit my gallery pages.

Unless otherwise noted, each painting is sold unframed. Most of my paintings are oil on canvas board unless noted and have been varnished for protection. I sign and date all of my work on the back without exception.

Lately I've been painting on a larger scale with more emphasis on color and brushwork. I try to convey a sense of peacefulness and nostalgia in my landscape work, and it's my hope that the viewer can imagine themselves stepping into the scene. I tend to work in a palette of warmer greens and rich golds but have been known to throw in a splash of color. I like to think of my style as a "nostalgic expressionism".

I'm having a lot of fun painting some whimsical animal friends, and they serve as a nice break from my landscape work. They seem to evoke fond memories, and that connection with viewers always makes me smile. The chickens particularly enjoy travelling, and for some reason are especially popular in Europe.

The "Art Background" series of paintings just sort of speak for themselves and reflect my fascination and respect for some of the great artists and their place in art history. Many of these artists have had a profound influence in the development of my own style and sensibility.

I often think of my work as my children, I dress them up as best I can, then send them off to find their place in the world. They can be found in collections throughout the United States and Europe.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I've enjoyed creating them.
