Angie Siefring grew up on a dairy farm in rural Ohio, as the eighth of 14 children, and was the first in her family to leave for college. After graduating from The Modern School of Design, she pursued a successful career in graphic design for over 25 years while raising three daughters. As an empty nester, Angie returned to her artistic roots, discovering a renewed sense of peace and purpose through painting en plein air. Her works primarily capture the beauty of the local landscape, and flowers have never let her down. Angie is particularly drawn to the changing seasons and their impact on the atmosphere. March and September are her favorite months, as they create the most striking shadows and color vibrations.

Angie has participated in numerous plein air competitions and earned several awards. Notably, she won Best of Show at the 2024 Ohio State Fair Plein Air Competition, received an Award of Excellence at the 2024 Ohio Plein Air Society Annual Competition in Millersburg, OH, and took Third Place along with the Eagles Award at the 2024 Plein Air at the Grand in Celina, OH. Her first solo exhibition was held in October 2024 at the Anna Bier Art Gallery in Greenville, OH. Additionally, her work can be found at Pennyjane Art Co. Gallery in Coldwater, OH, and in various group exhibitions throughout central Ohio. Angie was also a Greater Columbus Arts Council grant recipient for the past three years.

Angie is a lifetime member of Ohio Plein Air Society and serves as membership chair. She enjoys painting outings with Central Ohio Plein Air and weekly paintouts with friends. Angie is also a member of the American Impressionist Society and Oil Painters of America.
